No. Numerous safety studies show that high quality full-spectrum CBD products do not cause negative side effects in dogs when dosed properly; to learn more, we encourage you to consult our article about the safety of CBD, which goes over all of these findings in detail.
Studies show that in order to see side effects with full-spectrum CBD, you'd need a dose in excess of fifty times what we'd recommend. There are some very rare cases where some dogs do experience lethargy with doses that are five to ten times higher than our recommended dose, but this isn't an issue as long as you follow our guidelines and use common sense.
Yes! As per the 2018 Farm Bill, all hemp products (defined as those with less than 0.3%) THC are legal to sell, buy, and possess in all fifty states.
If you’re asking this as a veterinary professional, things are slightly more complex; while no laws govern the use of CBD in veterinary contexts, you may have to contend with guidelines from veterinary boards. Dosing is done by weight. We recommend 1 to 2 mg of CBD for every ten pounds that they weigh, once or twice a day depending on the severity of their situation. For example, a 70-pound dog with mild mobility issues might take 7 mg of CBD, once a day in the morning; once ingested, CBD tends to last in canine bodies for 6 to 9 hours. My trainer recommended trying the Ultra Behavior Formula to help work through **** and excitement reactivity with my 1y/o black lab. I was really hesitant to try it because I assumed the dog would lose her drive and high energy which is part of what I love so much about her! Josie has been on the formula for a few weeks now and I have started to notice a little difference in her reactivity level. ULTRA BEHAVIOR FORMULA - CBN/CBD Hemp Oil Tincture
After taking the behavior formula, my dog has completely stopped having accidents inside & is back to his normal self.
This stuff has really made a big difference for my dog. My dog has been on Prozac for awhile without a huge difference for her ****. Now that we introduced this product in addition to her meds she has really seemed to chill out and is a lot calmer. Would definitely recommend!
We got the ultra behavior formula for our young shepherd that is leash reactive and have been using for a few weeks. I do think he is a little calmer and sleeping better so far. The biggest thing I have noticed though is his **** is already better! He has severe elbow dysplasia and I’ve noticed a definite change in that.
Customer service is wonderful, I love the free call and the additional support as needed.
We already use the senior formula for our girls, but our 14yo schnauzer was having a hard time in the evenings (restless, confused behavior). Now she gets the Ultra Behavior formula about an hour before bed, and her nights are much easier.
I started my gog reactive Golden on ultra behavior a few months ago. I think it’s helping. The intensity and frequency of his reactions seem to be decreasing
