Studies show that in order to see side effects with full-spectrum CBD, you'd need a dose in excess of fifty times what we'd recommend. There are some very rare cases where some dogs do experience lethargy with doses that are five to ten times higher than our recommended dose, but this isn't an issue as long as you follow our guidelines and use common sense.
Yes! As per the 2018 Farm Bill, all hemp products (defined as those with less than 0.3%) THC are legal to sell, buy, and possess in all fifty states.
If you’re asking this as a veterinary professional, things are slightly more complex; while no laws govern the use of CBD in veterinary contexts, you may have to contend with guidelines from veterinary boards. Dosing is done by weight. We recommend 1 to 2 mg of CBD for every ten pounds that they weigh, once or twice a day depending on the severity of their situation. For example, a 70-pound dog with mild mobility issues might take 7 mg of CBD, once a day in the morning; once ingested, CBD tends to last in canine bodies for 6 to 9 hours. My dog is doing well so far with the minimal dosage. The real test will be her 1st visit to the Vet & the ride in the car. I will also test it on the 4th of July fireworks but & I will increase the dosage then to a higher amount. So far all is good.
Seems to be working a little, but not great so far

I really can’t recommend Dr. Hempdog’s Ultra behavior formula enough. My dog experienced some puppy **** and was having a destructive phase. It was very hard for her to settle and it felt like Dr. Hempdog came to the rescue.
This is the only product that helps with my dogs ****. Shes a very nervous dog and this is helping her to relax a bit.
ULTRA BEHAVIOR FORMULA - CBN/CBD Hemp Oil Tincture
We had high hopes that the Ultra Behavior Formula would help calm our 90 lb GSD. Customer service was truly terrific; however, we upped our dog’s dosage to the point where it wasn’t cost effective and were still not seeing any improvement. We concluded that we need to get to the root cause by doing a better job of meeting his exercise and stimulation/intellectual needs.
My 4 year old shepherd is a gun shot residue detection K9 who began to regress and become aggressive with me and other members of my department recently. Getting him in his crate became problematic and putting his collar on and off was met with low growls and side-eye looks. The Ultra behavior formula put him back into focus and has eased this time in his growth. Thank you for the Dr. Hempdog team for their support and assistance in getting Loki’s dosage correct. I just need a bigger bottle for this moose! Thank you again!!!!!
